Quilt retreats in the mountains of Southern Appalachia.
Join us for the planned class programs, use the time to finish a project of your own, or simply bring a book and enjoy time with friends.  Mountain Quilt Camp retreats are designed to be relaxing and hassle-free.

Our retreat home is Holston Presbytery Camp and Retreat Center, located just outside Banner Elk in the High Country of North Carolina.

There are two retreats scheduled each year, spring and fall:  Spring camp is the first full week in May, the fall camp is the third week in October.  Weather-wise, these are usually two of the best weeks in the High Country.
We have a waiting list for Spring 2018, but have spaces available for the Fall 2018 camp.

You'll have plenty of time to complete the program project with a regionally (and sometimes nationally) recognized quilt teacher, really good meals, fun and simple technique projects, and fresh mountain air that makes for a good night's sleep.  And there is always time for an excursion to local quilt shops, a nearby winery, or an easy hike around Wildcat Lake.

Retreats begin at noon on Monday with a Welcome Lunch and run through noon on Thursday (or Friday).  In between, all lodgings, meals, classroom fees, and a great gift bag are included in the cost.  Lodging is three  nights, double-occupancy in lodge rooms or cabins.  The meals are carefully prepared and served buffet style by retreat center staff. The only thing you will need to bring are your favorite munchies, and bottled water or soft drinks.  Click on the Retreat Programs link to see a planned programs for 2018 and a sample schedule.  There is an also an option for Sunday night, a good idea if you have a distance to travel on Monday morning.

Please be sure and Contact Us if you need more information or select Reservations above if you wish to make a reservation.  We will get back to you soonest.

When you are planning your travel, please, please, please check the Driving Directions.  We tried to minimize driving on back mountain roads.  And many a map program or GPS system will lead you astray in this part of the world.  Ask our camp veterans.

So pack your sewing room (as we all tend to do), think ROAD TRIP, and join us for a good time with good friends in the mountains.

P.S.  What's Blog and More?  That where those who have been to Quilt Camp can share info and resources.
